The Mandarin Tree

This June, we planted a Mandarin tree in the backyard. There is nothing better than having fruit trees in your own yard, but citrus trees have a special place in our hearts. When we were little we would play at our Grandma Jean's, who had orange trees in her backyard. There was nothing more satisfying than plucking the ripe little fruits off the branch and enjoying their natural sweetness. Our little guy is just a baby right now, but will hopefully grow and produce delicious oranges someday soon.

Every now and then we'll post a new picture and try to gauge his progress. I think he might need a name...
